Some say American products cost more than imports? Do you think those people really factored in all the cost? American factories have a minimum wage mandated by State and Federal law, American Factories have limits on air and water pollution. Americans are required by law to be paid overtime after 40 hours in one week. American employers incur payroll taxes. American factories pay for their power. Americans factories pay property taxes. The list goes on and on. Can you say the same thing of Chinese factories? Vietnam? India? I don't think so.

Told you it was not what your were thinking. Well this is not an easy topic is it. When your American dream ends don't you want to go off into eternity in a casket made in the USA? Import a job and complain about outsourced customer service

Does it make you angry when you are dealing with an American company and need help and call a help line staffed out of the country. Don't get me wrong, I don't blame the people outside the country working the jobs if they are available. The problem is why are they available. They are in a sense working in the United States when they are helping me in my home or my office. Buying American made in not the only way to bring jobs home. Some might say these jobs are beneath us and I say baloney until every American that wants a job has one.

Are American workers being displaced by companies misuse of H-IB Visa workers

Several big Iconic American Brands are under investigation or scrutiny for bring in H-1B visa workers to train with and replace their American co-worker, often at half the cost. The H-1B visa was not intended to be used this way. The program was to augment a business with skilled workers in fields lacking American applicants. Once again big business has found a way to turn a law against the American Worker.

Contact your congress person and Senators to get this nonsense stopped and save American jobs.

Nothing means more to us than our babies safety and health. I think most Americans will agree with me that your child's health is not worth saving a dollar or two buying imported items. Just watch the headlines and you might notice all the news over the last decade about dangerous items incorporated in imported items. Just two years ago American officials stopped hundreds of thousand of toys being imported into the USA made with dangerous chemicals that are banned here. I bet most of our grandfathers never had to give American made boots a second thought. Back then all the boots were Made in the USA. Sadly that has changed, so many of the boots on the market today are made in factories overseas and imported by American companies. Those companies used to make their products here at home, now they have made an end run around our labor and environmental laws to produce products to sell here at home. Together we can change that and get those jobs back. Just refuse to buy imports. The pair of boots pictured in this post are made in the USA. I own that same pair and I love them. After putting in many miles through the mud and snow I can attest that they are the best boots I have ever owned. Not to mention when I had a question on care and maintenance I reached out to the manufacture for advice and they helped me out. Could you get that from a boot made in China?

The American Flag should be made in the USA

Probably like most Americans you feel American Flags should only be made in the USA if it is sold here. Well I doubt we will ever see a law to support that however there is nothing stopping you from making that your own rule. We are not telling you to Vape or not to Vape. What we do recommend is if you do already smoke or Vape try a e-cigarette made in the USA. Have you thought about the Vape Juice at all? There is no time like the present to buy watches made in the USA. I'm very happy to see a resurgence of the American made time pieces. I found at least three companies making wrist watches here at home but I'll wager there are more.

Given a choice between a product made in the U.S. and an identical one made abroad, 78 percent of Americans would rather buy the American product, according to a new nationally representative survey by the Consumer Reports National Research Center.

More than 80 percent of those people cited retaining manufacturing jobs and keeping American manufacturing strong in the global economy as very important reasons for buying American. About 60 percent cited concern about the use of child workers or other cheap labor overseas, or stated that American-made goods were of higher quality.

And people would pay extra to buy American. More than 60 percent of all respondents indicated they’d buy American-made clothes and appliances even if those cost 10 percent more than imported versions; more than 25 percent said they’d pay at least an extra 20 percent. (Perhaps more surprising: According to a new survey of consumers in the U.S. and abroad by the Boston Consulting Group, more than 60 percent of Chinese respondents said they’d buy the American-made version over the Chinese even if it were to cost more.)

Lets start with American Made from the ground up, shoes made in the USA

Although there should be more there are a surprising amount of shoe companies making their products in the USA, at least in the dress and casual markets. Currently there is not much activity in the athletic shoe market. New Balance has a few models made here but I know longer see them marketing that fact and I'm afraid it is going away.

The American shoe market will support big prices for athletic shoes, however it seems to be tied to big time sponsorship and endorsements. Nike for an example pay workers in Asia $75.00 per month to make the shoes, they pay their American workers in the US very well and they pay millions maybe billions in sponsorship and endorsement rather than build a brand on quality and features. The American market for athletic shoes is all about the marketing and little to do with the manufacturing.

Is the Electric Car going to be an American Made Industry

I believe the electric car will be the next big break through industry and we all have a front row seat to this history. I think the first company to create the ultimate battery will win this battle and be in the driver's seat to secure their place as the leader. This industry could bring billions of dollars to the country that wins this race.

Living in Seattle I see electric cars all the time. It used to be rare to see an all electric car but now it is very common. I have to admit the Tesla is also a beautiful car. I have been lucky enough to see at least two of the really high end sport car edition and they are impressive.

My hope is that an American company will perfect the battery and become the leader of this pioneering technology that will seep into other areas of our life.

I think the Teslas are American Made however I'm not sure. I looked over there website for a minute or two and could not tell for sure. Does anyone happen to know?

We were fortunate enough to add a new hair care product to the products made in the USA directory today. While doing this I discovered the American hair care product market is worth over 80 billion dollars in sales per year and growing.

If we were to capture more and more of just the hair care industry can you imagine all the jobs we could create. Manufacturing jobs create other jobs all across the spectrum. A factory needs office workers, foreman, warehouse staff, shipping clerks, managers and entry level laborers. This more than anything is what America needs, a diverse opportunity of jobs.

It should not be hard to find American made clothing but it can be. I have been in the business of helping people locate clothes made in the USA. During these years the number one complaint I have received is "Where can I buy clothing made in the USA in person"? I have to agree this in not an easy task to accomplish.

The internet of course has made it much easier for consumers to locate clothing and other products made in the USA. The problem is Americans like to see their clothing before buying it, they want to try it on, make sure their shoes go with it. This is all understandable of course.

So until brick and mortar retailers start to take notice that Americans want domestic made products we will have to rely on the internet, which is doing a great job!

Employment is down along with the average household income

Most of the last 10 years has not been very kind to the American worker and our families. The politicians are not helping and I mean both sides of the aisle. They continue to make trade agreements to enrich big business but do little for us. The taxpayers bailed out GM and now they are set to import a SUV from China for the American Market.
